Eucheuma cottonii, is a natural sea-algae commonly found at coral reef waters.It has many similarities with bird nest and shark fin but with more nutritious.

It has neutral reading with 7.6pH value, rich in collagen, marine enzymes, vitamins, and essential minerals which make it a perfect high-fiber organic food.

Seaweed Farming
Seaweeds are generally cultivated in lagoons or sheltered bays. Seaweeds obtain nutrients directly from the seawater and it is crucial to have currents that flush the site in which the seaweeds are placed. Small cuttings are attached to a line with short lengths of string at a density of five cuttings per metre of line. In nature these seaweeds live attached to a solid substrate.

Seaweed Usage

Seaweed is made into flavoring ingredients with the main purpose of increasing the nutritional intake, mainly protein and dietary fibers and Vitmins E and B2.

Undegraded corrageenan are extracted from seaweed and commonly used as thickener or stabilizer, mostly used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Seaweed also commonly used to do cosmetics and skin care products. It can produce more than thousand kinds of products.
